What's Here:
Among the collections within the Wells Fargo Building are Indigenous artifacts, the Pine Creek Mine display, survey equipment, and an extensive gem and mineral collection.
Origin:
In the summer of 1965 Paramount Studios came to Laws to shoot a few scenes for the movie Nevada Smith, starring Steve McQueen. This building was part of the on-location set, and was built to represent part of the fictitious town of 'Sweetwater.' It was just a shell then, but Laws Museum volunteers went to work to frame the interior and create a real building.
